I just got back from watching it and it was epic. Hulk demolished Loki. The theatre was packed. Everybody cheered, laughed and clapped when the movie was over. It was a great adaption from the comic. Can't wait to get it on Blu-Ray now.

I was hoping they would give more in depth info on how Thor came back to earth, other than Odin havin' to use a lot of black magic... and one thing i was wonderin' about, why didn't Hulk attack the other Avengers (other than Thor with that one punch haha) in the last big fight, they didn't really show how he was able to control himself.
But like i said before, that movie is the shit!!!

Very true. I liked Captain America also. He showed true leadership. I had geek smile on my face when he told Iron Man to put his armor on and let's go a few rounds. Really all the characters shined. The only one I felt kind of played the backfield was Hawkeye. He still was awesome though.

‘The Avengers’ Has Record-Setting $200.3 Million in Sales

    By Michael White - May 6, 2012 10:35 AM CTSun May 06 15:35:11 GMT 2012

“Marvel’s The Avengers” opened as the top film in U.S. and Canadian theaters, kicking off the summer movie season with a record $200.3 million in sales this weekend for Walt Disney Co. (DIS)
Revenue topped the previous best of $169.2 million set by“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” last year, researcher Hollywood.com Box-Office said today in an e-mailed statement. Analysts had forecast sales of $150 million to $170 million for “The Avengers.”
Summer ticket sales are expected to surpass the record of $4.4 billion set last year, according to Jeff Bock, box-office analyst at Exhibitor Relations Co. Other films scheduled in the coming weeks include Warner Bros.’ “The Dark Knight Rises,”directed by Christopher Nolan, and Sony Corp. (6758)’s “Men in Black 3,” a sequel that reunites Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as government agents managing Earth’s secret alien population.
“The Avengers” is the first Marvel movie Disney is distributing since buying the comic-book company for $4.2 billion in 2009. The movie provides Burbank, California-based Disney with a hit after the box-office failure of “John Carter,” the science-fiction film released in March that resulted in a $200 million loss for the company.
Rich Ross, the head of Disney’s film unit, resigned in April, and the company hasn’t yet hired a replacement. Disney is scheduled to report fiscal second-quarter results on May 8.
    Marvel Heroes

“The Avengers” brings together several Marvel heroes, including Iron Man, Thor and Captain America, who were featured singly in previous films. They must overcome egos and discord to band together to fight an army led by Loki, the unscrupulous god of Norse mythology. The movie stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson.
The film took in $80.5 million in first-day ticket sales on May 4, according to Hollywood.com. The revenue was the second-best single-day performance after “Deathly Hallows: Part 2,”which took in $91.1 million.
“The Avengers,” directed by Joss Whedon, was the only movie opening in wide release this weekend.

same here... it was fun watching it with a very energetic crowd.. the place went apeshit for half the previews, so i knew what we were in for. Dark knight rises, gi joe, and expendables 2 all garnered some cheers.

Everybody was energetic and cheered for the movie. But nobody hardly said shit for any of the trailers before the movie started, where I was at and it was a packed theatre. Maybe a few laughs here and there for that CG animated movie with that girl with the curly read hair. But not too much reaction from the crowd. I was expecting people to show some excitement for The Dark Knight Rises trailer or even The Amazing Spider-Man trailer. But no one hardly said anything.

This movie was epic. Saw it in IMAX 3D. That was my first movie. Will not see another 3D movie because it irritated my eyes like I expected.

Man, Loki was evil as fuck.

    The actor owned that role.

Now, I'm not someone who has read one Marvel comic in my life, but I know they had a Hulk vs Thor DVD, so it may have came from that.

there was a spiderman trailer? damn... must've been when my wife's frozen cherry started spewing all on the white nikes.. i don't remember that one at all. I was surprised how amped some seemed about expendables... the first one didn't do anything for me.

anyway- i couldn't help but think while watching this movie- 'damn- there is actually some good comedic timing shown'. Robert Downey Jr. could make a Tony Stark movie without suiting up at all and I swear it'd still be entertaining.

If you're a fan of that kind of humor you should check out Downey Jr. in Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang if you haven't seen it yet. Him and Val Kilmer kill it.

C'mon Marvel now all we need is that Avengers Vs X-Men animated movie. Do anybody remember in a interview about the Hulk Vs movie that they said they were planning on doing a Avengers Vs X-Men animation as well? I been reading the recent released comics. But I would so love to watch the animated take on it.

I was thinking that the Chitauri in the Avengers movie didn't use any of their shape shifting ablities, like they did in the Ultimate Avengers animated movie (or comics for that matter). Also it would have been cool if Cap yelled out Avengers Assemble at least once. I still love the movie.

On a side note. DC hurry up with that Flash movie for christ sake. He is my favorite DC character behind Batman and Superman. At least give us a Flash animated movie until we finally get a live action version.

I don't like wearing glasses period because they hurt my eyes after a few minutes. That’s how it was with the 3D. I expected the 3D to hurt my eyes because of what I thought the 3D would look like…, but it really didn’t. The issues were the lenses hurting my eyes and me being the person I am, if something bothers me, I will continue being irritated by it because it’s on my mind. So yeah, I spent the whole movie playing with the glasses.
