Down-South Album Sales Report: Week Ending 1/24/10

Before the February 2nd release of his “Rebirth” Rock album, Lil Wayne is enjoying the success of his Young Money camp as they hail notorious in the South once again by being the highest placing album on the Billboard Top 200 Charts at #23. The “We Are Young Money” album scanned close to 19K bringing their five week total to 251K units sold. Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter III” also is continuing to sell, charting at 113 with another 4k sold to bring its total to an amazing 3,355,129.

The currently incarcerated Gucci Mane’s latest album “The State vs. Radric Davis” dropped one spot to 39 scanning 11k, bringing his seven week total to 225.

Birdman is the only other artist to chart (110) with his latest album “Priceless.” He scanned just under 5k bringing his 9 week total to 113K.

Not all is lost for fans wanting to know how much their favorite Southern artists are currently selling however.
