Mia X To Release First Album In Over 10 Years

Mia X has not released a solo album since her third album with No Limit Records, “Mama Drama.”
Following her last album, she took a music hiatus and unfortunately Mia suffered several personal setbacks; primarily the unexpected and tragic passing of her mother and father, as well as the devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Suddenly, she was left to care for not only her own children, but also her youngest sister, Ashley, who thanks to Mia’s undying love and support, recently graduated from L.S.U. Medical with honors.
Mia briefly returned to rap in 2006 when she appeared on a few mixtapes and then again on C-Murder’s 2008 album “Screamin’ 4 Vengeance,” no project ever materialized.
Mia X now has decided to make a return to music to release her fourth studio LP, “Betty Rocka Locksmith,” which she is currently finishing up on.
So far from the album she has released two tracks, "1 Life 1 Love," which she’ll be shooting a video for soon, and "Get Da Paper," an ode to eighties Hip-Hop.
"Betty Rocka Locksmith" is currently scheduled to be released in February 2010.

even if she only sells 5000 at ten dollars a peice thats 50,000 legal money. i bet thats more than a lot of mtv,bet rappers are putting in their pocket. plus she should be independent if she is that means no major label touching her profit. i would take that any day. thats a nice peice of change and no headaches or bulls**t to go along with it stay up MIA.
