Tum Tum – “Eat Or Get Ate”

1. Eat Or Get ate
Well on “Eat Or Get Ate”, my producer gave me a beat and I was like “it’s a cool beat, but I don’t think you will like it.” I took the beat on the road, lit up the Kush, wrote the hook, hit em, and said we got the intro track. I was letting people know my definition of the album title. I wanted everyone to see when the beat came on I was still on that, same g’d up gangsta shit ya dig.
2. You Aint Hungry
Just Beats from Dallas gave me a beat cd and I picked two beats. This one is for all the niggas like me that stay hungry no matter how comfortable you may feel. I stay ready to make money and that’s what that song is about. This track showcases hunger, so get your money and stay hungry.
3. That That Shit
It’s basically me talking shit. When I entered the game my homie Trae the Truth told me most of these niggas is actors and they don’t mean what they say, so with me jumping in the game I realized he was right. Most of these muthafuckaz don’t mean shit they say and most of them hide who they really are. Me, I’m really bout that shit, that is why I talk that shit ya diiiiig.
4. Anthem
For everybody on the block, everybody trying to make it, and everybody that comes from the gutter. This is one of my favorite tracks. I still be in the hood all the time, so I made this for them. I paid for the video myself too. This track is produced by Milk again. I knew the hood would love this track. I just wanted to make an anthem for niggas like me and people who grew up like me.
5. Caprice Musik
This is a crazy story. I actually wrote this for another guy is Dallas but he didn’t wanna buy it. He said he didn’t like the beat. I was like this nigga crazy, this is one of the dopest beats I ever heard, so I just added a verse, put it on Tumk6, and it took off. I didn’t even think that song was going to do what it did; people thought it was corny, but it opened so many doors for the kid. Milk did the beat in 10 mins and we had the whole song done in 30 minutes.
6. T.U.M.
This song here is for the naysayers and haters basically. This was one of the tracks where I told Milk the chorus and he came back with the beat like two days later. I talk about real life situations and everything that could have held me back from doing positive and going on a straight path. This song is for everybody who had somebody tell them they couldn’t do it.
7.Klickklack
I spend a lot of time in Ohydro, so I ran across Yonnie (Cleveland) he gave me a beat cd, I picked three songs off the beat cd and started recording the tracks. During the recording process, we got real cool and he started sending shit on the sidekick. He sent me that “Klickklack” and I felt the energy. I told a story on the track cause niggas ain’t doing that type of thing anymore. The video for this song is coming real real soon.
8. Hood Shit (FT. Mannie Fresh)
This track is produced by Fresh and Fresh is one of the coolest most humble dudes you will meet in this game. I let him do his thing in the studio. I grew up on the CMB movement so this was a big deal for the kid. On the track I was just tryn to have fun you can tell that by the punch lines. I was basically letting everybody know no matter how far the kid get, I will still be on that hood shit.
9. She’s a Go (FT. Double T and Lil Ronnie)
This is another banger from Milk. We had a Joc sample on this beat at first, but I had an idea for a hook after watching The 40 Year Old Virgin. Originally, we thought it would be corny, but the track came out throwed and it is a real club banger.
10. Hustle
This track is produced by my homie Big E from Dallas. He looked out for me on this beat because it was originally for somebody else. The beat itself is so West Coast that I had to fuck with it especially with me growing up on Snoop and Dre. I basically broke down that everybody hustles, you don’t have to be the crack kingpin of the block to be a hustler, to a nigga like me, if you bringing home the bacon you a real motherfucker for providing for you and yours and that’s what I tried to capture with this song ya smell me?
11. Haterz (This 1s 4 U)
This whole song was crazy. Fresh and I had so much chemistry on the first track; he just chunked me this beat. I already had this hook in my sidekick just waiting for the perfect beat. I have a lot of fans and a lot of haters. They hate on my haircut, my leather shorts, because a nigga chubby, or my muthafuckin name. I be at home reading the shit like damn these niggas ain’t comfortable in they own skin that’s why they hate, so I made a track just for them. How the fuck are you going to hate on another black man for getting his homeboys off the block and doing some legal shit and making sure his Jones doesn’t have to work. The hate puzzles me and that’s why I wrote a song for them, so fuck em its all for them.
12. Do That
Produced by Scott Storch. Man I had my whole gang in Mia with me that week. He made me some fresh shit, but I was feeling the one he played on cd earlier that night. I was bout 20-25 Kush blunts deep, so we knocked it out quick. I had fun than a bitch, that nigga Storch crib and cars was all motivation to get this fetti ya diiiiiiiiig.
13.If It All Go Tomorrow (FT. Trae)
You know people go through shit and have different emotions flying through them all the time and someone who had help raise me passed. I was also feeling like some people weren’t really in my corner, I had to separate the helpers, and the hurters ya feel me. I hit my homeboy Trae to do the verse and hook but he couldn’t come up with a hook, but when I heard his verse, I came up with the hook from around the shit he was saying dig me.
14.Showtime (FT. Jim Jones)
I wrote the hook and told Milk I wanted some epic sounding track to go with this idea I had about giving shows because that’s one of my favorite things to do is give shows. When we got Jimmy’s verse back he wasn’t really on topic, but he killed it, so me and Milk went in and came up with the idea to make it look like I brung him on stage for a show. We would have the DJ cut the beat and let me introduce him. One of the dopest concepts ever if you ask me. This track came out really really dope ya smell me.
15.Square Bizzness
Man I was over Play N Skillz crib smoking, hanging out, just jumping on beats, and shooting pool and shit. So, we recorded the first verse for “Better Dayz”, I go downstairs to write for the second verse, and I hear them working on the beat from downstairs. I walk in the studio to tell them to start recording and I dropped the hook. We recorded it and it came out real real throwed. A lot of Kush and drank was put into this record. *laughs*
16. On Top Of The World (FT. Don Dad and Tite)
This is one of the first songs that were recorded for the album. Dada said, “look at me ma on top of the world” on another track and I thought that it was throwed enough for this song. I dropped the hook and my verse and told Dada and the Gooch to jump on the track. They showed naked on the track, and so did Jus Beats. That beat is powerful.
17. Better Dayz (FT. Reyes)
This track I was basically in my own zone on some other shit. I think we rolled through New Orleans to fuck with Baby Boy in the video. I didn’t see much progress, the government was trying to deport the Mexicans, and I’m cool with a lot of Mexicans. I also watched that tape on that Maia Campbell when she was smoked out shit fucked me up; I used to really dig foxxxy. Hope she get it together. I just put all my emotions into the track and it came out beautiful. Reyez did his thing on there to ya dig.
18. Mission Accomplished
This track is real dope to me because of the concept. It was like, I was checking off things that I got to accomplish such as making sure my T Jones don’t have to work, I checked that off. Laying down the foundation for my crew, I can check that off because we already started on The TBG album. Finally, busting down the door for where I stay because we getting that rotation in the city now. I just inked a shoe deal and a clothing one with Algierz and I was the first to hit 106 and park with it in my city and be on BET, MTV2, and Jamz a lot, so I can check that off also.
